2010 Volunteer Application

The Scottish Renaissance  Festival is exclusively staffed by volunteers. Many of the entertainers waive their normal performance fee. The artists and crafters pay to offer their wares at the event. This Festival goes well beyond its primary mission of simply raising money for the Cultural Council and their local programs; we're also providing a venue to showcase local actors, artists, crafters, and musicians.

Volunteer for a two-hour shift at the gate, the information booth, or one of our other volunteer areas, you gain access to the event for the entire day. We also need help set up on Friday and tear down Sunday evening. Construction experience isn't necessary since there are several jobs that simply require a few willing people. To volunteer during the event, you need a "period" appropriate costume. If you're not sure about your costume, email us with a description. You may also qualify for free camping Friday and Saturday night. You can also join us for the Saturday night participant's Ceilidh.
